Icebreaker

Icebreaker is a young company, but they've been making an impact in the United States. Made from high-quality New Zealand Merino wool, Icebreaker garments are redefining how we look at wool. Fine Merino is no longer the stuff of imported sweaters that require dry-cleaning and careful storage. On the contrary, Icebreaker wool is meant to be WORN, outside, in the heat and cold. It's designed to be WORN, to be worked, to make you work hard and not worry about the technical ability of your clothing to regulate your body temp or whick moisture away. It simply does a fantastic job doing so, to the point where you won't have to worry about it.

The Alpineer carries a selection of Icebreaker to suit all kinds of activities. Lightweight layers work great as your next-to-skin base layer or as a cool, form-fitting shirt over a pair of jeans. The heavier layers, whether they be semi-form fitting or looser sweaters, are great for the same purposes: as technical or casual clothing. Click here to find out more about Icebreaker, or simply continue shopping for the garments that you can't live without. And if you don't see it here, email or give us a call at 800-847-0244 so we can order it for you!
