Accommodations

There are a few things about Crested Butte that make finding a place to stay simple. Our town is small and most of the accommodations are within a few blocks of the shops and restaurants downtown. Most of the accommodations on the mountain are within walking distance to the base area and the free shuttle bus. The free bus runs quite frequently between the Towns of Mt. Crested Butte and Crested Butte for your convenience.

Here are a few of the places in town to lay your weary head after a day of enjoying the area’s variety of activities. These are only a few of our favorites. For a more extensive list of other accommodations check out the Chamber of Commerce, Crested Butte Vacation Rentals, or VisitCrestedButte.com. For camping information see the bottom of this page.

Camping

Crested Butte is surrounded by National Forest, which provides an abundance of camping throughout the Upper Gunnison Valley. There is primitive camping out all the drainages that surround town, as well as some designated Forest Service campgrounds. For a complete list of the facilities and their availability check out the Gunnison National Forest Campgrounds page.
